Welcome from the Headteacher

A warm welcome to Serenity School, Crawley. We are a school for children aged 5-18 with a wide range of SEND where each child has a personalized curriculum that supports them to achieve their full potential. Every child has the right to be a happy, confident, and successful learner and this is what we strive to achieve.

We place emphasis on being a therapeutic and holistic environment which in turn enables academic success. Students will follow a pathway appropriate to them, but which does not limit their growth or aspirations. Students are supported to develop their sense of identity, understand themselves and their world better, and maximize their achievement. We promote independence and self-worth and ensure students have a wide range of experiences including vocational, enrichment, therapeutic and academic.

Students and staff at Serenity School know we have high expectations of behavior, care, and respect for ourselves, our school, and others. It is in this caring community that we can all thrive and do our best both whilst at school and in the wider world; this is enabled by outstanding teaching, inclusion, opportunities, discipline, clear structure, and routine.

I am proud to be the headteacher in this new school and look forward to welcoming students, families, and staff, and to working in partnership to ensure we provide the outstanding education our young people deserve.
