“My child began at Serenity School in November 2024. Though he had a long journey to school and woke up early everyday, he was happy and enjoyed the school life which I could see on Tapestry. He learns to go to the toilet, how to write, how to count, does colouring in, how to play with peers during free time, being brave to try school meals at lunchtime, learning language with different prompts and expressing his needs more clearly.
We have felt my child is happy at Serenity School, but more than that we will remain ever thankful for extra help to make him more independent in the past.”

I asked him what has changed and he said Miss McDonald is the best teacher I’ve ever had (and let’s face it in his school life he has had a lot of teachers) He is coming home with so many behavior points every day and doing all his lessons! “At his primary school, my child would shut down at the end of the day/pick up. Now, after school he is mostly chatty and happy to share what has happened. School refusal has decreased dramatically. His overall mood suggests he is better able to tolerate school at Serenity over a mainstream school. He has clearly developed both academically and emotionally.”
