Ms Linda Brown

I have been a secondary school teacher for over 20 years. In this time I have had the privilege of holding senior leadership positions in a number of settings including mainstream and alternative provision. I have led pastoral and academic teams as well as whole school teaching and learning and SEND.

My core belief is that every young person has the right to a caring and nurturing school environment which provides an education that is inclusive and holistic. This enables all to have the opportunity to succeed regardless of their individual starting points. It is essential that lessons are suitably differentiated and cater for the needs of all learners. All young people must feel valued and supported as they aim to achieve their true potential. In this way every child truly does matter.

It is an honour and a privilege to be a Governor of Serenity School, a school which is values driven and seeks the very best for all. The commitment and dedication of the Governors, Leaders, Teachers and Support Staff is beyond question. Together we are building something to be proud of.

Thank you

As a senior leadership team we come with a wealth of experience working in a range of educational and care settings. Our shared goal is to improve the life chances of all of the pupils we work with at Serenity.

Owen Williams– With over ten years’ experience working in education Owen’s subject specialism is science and is a behaviour specialist. Reward and incentive are key. Owen has developed a rigorous reward system at serenity which will see our pupils further engage with school life, with pride. Owen is also our school DDSO.

Adam Foster– Having spent a number of years working with adults with special educational needs Adam began a career working with young people over seven years ago. In this time he has supported a large number of pupils progress onto next steps, beyond school. With close links to local colleges and community organisations Adam will be working with all pupils to ensure they take an active role as both local and global citizens.

Laura Richter– As our school EWO and SENCo Laura is dedicated in supporting the SEN and attendance needs of all of our pupils. Through close work with stake holders Laura has already development positive relationships with parents carers and local authorities .

Davina Heron – With over 25 years working in education in a variety of settings across all four key stages and 9 years as part of SLTs, Dee has gained valuable experience and knowledge to support our pupils to achieve and reach their goals.
